Lead Controls Engineer
Curt is our long-time lead controls engineer. He graduated with his bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington and has been working with us since November of 2021. He has one patent in enhanced tooling for interference-fit fasteners. Along with that, his areas of expertise include:
- Motion control
- Control software
- Process control
- Process development
- PC software for interfacing with industrial controllers
Curt loves working with the “smartest, most clever, and best engineers around. Makes it a real pleasure to come to work each day.” Considering himself a “gearhead,” he enjoys making things move, including machines that move things around. He says, “I get great joy out of optimizing their operation and speed. There’s always a little bit more you can squeak out of a process, it’s just a matter of looking really hard to find it.”
When he’s not at work, Curt puts his mechanical skills to the test by working on and upgrading his 80’s BMW. As an active person, he also likes to cycle, ski, snowshoe, hike, and spend time with his dog.
